The works from the workshop will be exhibited at the FotoFUTURA exhibition in December.

 

Experimental screen printing workshop. Screen printing and photography are not distant techniques – both rely on light to transfer an image from the outside world into the field of a two-dimensional visual record. As part of the workshop, we will investigate their union into a tool that enables the transformation of the image. Through the workshop, students will explore the possibilities of screen printing as a technique for conveying and using photography to shape collaborative creative expression. Students will build work together by printing their individual works on a roll of textiles. Arranging the developmental pattern, in different rhythms and arrangements, crosswise and alternately, will create an abstract collective image.

Send up to 20 photos on the topic of current events in the country in the last year.

Due to limited capacities, the expert jury will select students to participate in the workshop. The workshop is led by Sofija Pašalić, expert associate of FPU.
The works from the workshop will be exhibited at the FotoFUTURA exhibition in December.

 

 

Deadline for submitting works:
10. 11. 2025.

​Works are sent in digital form, JPG/JPEG, maximum size 30×40 cm, in a print resolution of 300 PPI. Smaller works, as well as those created with a mobile phone, will be accepted for the competition.

 

The selected works are printed and equipped for the exhibition in the organization of the festival.

 

By registering for the competition, participants accept all conditions and rules of the competition.  Participants agree that their work will be printed and used for display at the FotoFUTURA REPUBLIC exhibition in 2025.  Participants agree that their work will be used for the purpose of media promotion of Fotofutura festival and exhibition.  The participants agree that the works will be reproduced in the catalog of the festival and exhibition, which will also be available in an electronic version on the Fotofutura website.

 

The FotoFUTURA REPUBLIKA 2025 exhibition will be available for further exhibitions in the country and abroad, about which the authors would be informed in a timely manner.  Proposals of the FotoFUTURA competition are mandatory and exclusive.
